Summary

Summary in English.

UniSync Starter (the "app") is a shop-management app for car care and detailing businesses. This policy explains what information the app and our service handle, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. "We" and "us" means the business named in section 12.

1. Who this applies to

2. Information we handle

What we do not collect: your location, your contacts, microphone recordings or advertising identifiers. The app has no advertising and no third-party advertising trackers.

3. Camera and number-plate reading

The app asks for camera permission so you can scan number plates and take job photos. Reading the plate text happens on your phone using on-device text recognition; the image is not sent to a third party for this. Photos you choose to save with a job are uploaded to our storage so the shop can see them later.

4. How we use information

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

5. WhatsApp messages and STOP

We use WhatsApp to talk to shop owners. We may message a business phone number that was taken from a public business listing to introduce UniSync, or that has contacted us, or has signed up. Every such message tells you how to opt out. Reply STOP at any time and we will stop messaging you about UniSync. Service messages that you ask for, such as an OTP code or a receipt, are sent only when you or your shop request them. Messages are sent through a WhatsApp Business messaging provider (for example MSG91).

6. Who we share information with

We use trusted service providers who process data for us under their own security commitments:

A shop's data is visible only to that shop's own users and to our authorised support staff when needed to help you. Different shops cannot see each other's data. We may disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, users or the public.

7. Direct download (APK)

The Android app is downloaded from this website. Android will ask you to allow installs from this source once. The download itself does not give us your contacts, files or location. When the app arrives on the stores, you will update the app and keep the same account and data.

8. How long we keep information

We keep a shop's data while its account is active. After an account is closed or deletion is requested, we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period (we aim for 30 days), except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Each shop's data is isolated from other shops in our database. PINs are stored hashed. Access to production systems is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a PIN that is hard to guess and sign out on shared phones.

10. Your rights (India DPDP Act, 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to withdraw consent, to have grievances addressed, and to nominate someone to act for you. In the app, shop users can view and edit most details and change their PIN. For anything else, or to delete your account and data, send us a WhatsApp message on 99000 03737 from the phone number on the account, telling us which shop. We will confirm with you and delete the data (subject to section 8), normally within 30 days. You can turn off camera permission in your phone settings; the app still works but you cannot scan or take photos.

The app is for business use by adults. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
